This was the third tme camping here, the grounds are kept very nice and clean. Host are very accommodating.

We always enjoy coming back to this campground. The facilities and campsites are consistently well maintained, and it was obvious the staff takes pride in keeping everything looking its best. Our site even had freshly raked gravel when we arrived.
Site 13 is easy to back into since you're making the turn from the driver's side, and it has plenty of shade to keep the campsite comfortable throughout the day.
The layout is a little different than most sites. The RV parking area sits above the main living area, which is located down a short flight of stairs. It's a unique setup and actually works well, but the stairs could use another step or two. The risers are fairly tall, so if you have young children, mobility concerns, or just don't move quite as fast as you used to, you'll probably notice the climb.
Once you walk down to the living area, everything makes sense. The living area is surrounded by water on three sides, giving it a secluded feel that's hard to beat. It's a beautiful place to relax, enjoy a meal, or spend the evening around the fire while taking in the view.
Overall, we would definitely recommend Site 13. The unusual layout takes a little getting used to, but the beautiful setting more than makes up for it.

II was on site 34 the site 33 was so close to the fire pit on 34 i was concerned about getting sparks and soot on the truck sitting in front of the 5th wheel i would estimate 15 ft or so way to clos so i did not have a fire

This was our first time at this campground. The areas are kept very nice and the sites are quite large. Lots of shady sites. We were waterfront and had easy access to go swimming. Only 40minutes to Nashville. We will be returning in the future

Nice waterfront campsite, good fishing. There was a lot of trash consisting of plastic bottles, cans etc. on the water’s edge. It would be nice if the park workers could spend a little time picking it up since it is not good for fish and wildlife.

Overall the park was nice and clean……The women’s bathrooms were atrocious. Due to lack of attention from the janitorial service.

Very nice campground. Sites well spaced with nice picnic tables our site #21 had stairs at back of site to picnic table area. 50 amp electric and water. Host was very friendly. Maintenance crews were cleaning fire pits and bathrooms daily. Beautiful view of the lake. We highly recommend this campground!

Highway access
Cages Bend is accessible via Benders Ferry Road, which connects to State Route 109 approximately 5 miles to the west, providing access to Interstate 40 about 10 miles to the south.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- All campsites require a reservation; walk-ins are not allowed.
- Check-in time is at 3:00 PM and check-out time is at 12:00 PM.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; purchase it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
