This park was beautiful! The man working the entrance was very friendly. Spots are spaced out nicely and there is plenty of room to enjoy nature. We will for sure return!

Had campsite #28 and it was wonderful! Concrete lot, level, separate level down steps for picnic table and grill, lot was 90% shaded and right next to the lake! Great experience!!

Nice park. Not much to do for non-boaters. We stayed one night in transit. Always appreciate the price and durable senior discount.
Check your GPS carefully and put the word “campground” in your search. We failed to do this and our google map took us clear around the lake and delayed our arrival. Unfortunately, when we stopped at a camp host’s rig on that side of the lake to clarify the proper location I was attacked by her dog and had to scramble to get back in my vehicle.

Nice lake front camp sites. Great trees and shade. No firewood for sale. No fire pits (BBQ grates were available). No separate tent only area to my knowledge. Nice grassy shore. No sandy beaches that I know of close by. Showers need some cleaning, and are older. Nice level tent places on gravel with permanent round table. No generator noise that I noticed. A lot of seaweed in water near site 15. Friendly staff.

Continue staight across Nashville Pike onto Cages Bend Road. Take Cages Bend Road to Benders Ferry Road. The recreation area will be ahead on the left.
Highway access
Cages Bend is accessible via Benders Ferry Road, which connects to State Route 109 approximately 5 miles to the west, providing access to Interstate 40 about 10 miles to the south.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- All campsites require a reservation; walk-ins are not allowed.
- Check-in time is at 3:00 PM and check-out time is at 12:00 PM.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fires & fuel
- Do not move firewood; purchase it locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
