It is a beautiful place, great view, and it was comfortable for the elderly. The kitchen was well needed to have for washing the utensils and the fish for the fish fry. This is a great place for a gathering. If all the buildings had the kitchen this place would be great.

I was very disappointed. I picked the specific location to be located right next to the restrooms. I had a large party with several children. I wanted them to be able to have access to the restroom for the 4-5 hours we’d be there. I was never informed that bathrooms were closed for maintenance. I called the number several times with no answer until after the 4th or 5th time. Then they gave me another number, saying they don’t deal directly with on-site issues. The number I was given never answered. I talked to someone onsite that I assumed worked there and lived there. They did. They were very rude, telling us the bathrooms were closed, then slammed the door in my face. Very upset with this experience and should have asked for a refund because this property failed to even send notice of the closed bathrooms, the main reason I picked that particular location.

Plenty of open space for the family, bring fishing polls and outside sport games to get the most out of your outside family fun time.

Had our company picnic here. At Shelter 4, we were able to seat about 24 at the provided tables, and there was plenty of room under the shelter to bring extra tables to set up the food. People were able to fish on the river, play in the grass, or sit an talk at the many tables surrounding the shelter. There was plenty of parking for us as the first shelter in the park, but I've been further in and also been pleased at the parking. The restroom were right across the lot from our shelter.

The shelter has amazing views which is wonderful. Definite wasp and spider issues but hey - it's outside! The only thing I found disappointing was that the women's bathrooms had both faucets not working. That is a definite problem because bathrooms are one of the only amenities you get with the shelter. Other than that we loved it and the whole family felt it was the prettiest location we'd ever held our reunion at!
