What Guests Are Saying
Poole Knobs Campground is praised for its beautiful, spacious, and wooded sites, many of which are located by the water, providing great views and access to lake activities. While some campers noted issues with site leveling and maintenance, the overall atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, with friendly staff and clean facilities. Despite a few negative experiences with park attendants and minor inconveniences, many visitors express a strong desire to return and appreciate the campground’s charm.

Our site #54 was very nice. Lots of shade and space for our tent. The only thing is that for a tent camper, the bathhouse was too far away to hike, all uphill, so going to the restroom was a challange.. Also, this site was close to the road, just FYI . Awesome neighbors, perfect weather and the eagles nest sighting was a nice surprise

Great location, close to I-75, but not the noise. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean campground. It was an overnight stay and It was hot so we didn’t check out the trails.

Love this place for a visit near family. Always would prefer lakeside sites, but it’s not always possible. Bathhouses are not conveniently located relative to the sites, but they’re not terribly far. A trip in the middle of the night could be daunting. Be wary of the raccoons after dark, they’re troublemakers.
