What Guests Are Saying
Poole Knobs Campground is praised for its beautiful, spacious, and wooded sites, many of which are located by the water, providing great views and access to lake activities. While some campers noted issues with site leveling and maintenance, the overall atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, with friendly staff and clean facilities. Despite a few negative experiences with park attendants and minor inconveniences, many visitors express a strong desire to return and appreciate the campground’s charm.

The only thing that could have made it better is having a more people friendly staff at check-in. Each time I have been there the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there and seemed rude ( not southern people friendly).

I would've given it a perfect review had it not been for other campers. The staff here is incredible, seriously. They went out of their way to make sure we were ok, and really worked to help us in an odd situation we found ourselves in. The location is breathtaking, a true picture of the south. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Getting there through Nashville area traffic is a challenge, but once there it is worth the effort. Camp sites were well maintained and far enough apart to be reasonably private. Bath and restroom facilities were very clean. We'll be back

We stayed at site 52. It was right by the water and had electric and water. Then site was not level at all, we used our leveling blocks and it wasn't a big problem. The campground hosts were very nice and drove around the campground a lot. The layout of the campground qas a bit weird. The bath houses were far away from the campsites. It is one of our new favorite camp spots!

The only situation that we have is a disruption of power occasionally.

A worthy campground nestled in mature hardwoods. Flush toilets, bath house and spacious campsites. Rual area near everything. 40 minutes to Nashville.
