Everything was great but I really just need one thing when I’m tent camping and that’s a flat space big enough for my tent. That was not at all possible on this site. Also, no table?

Many of the sites appear to be flat and easy to get into. Site 23 NOT recommended for even our small trailer. Backing in up hill into a narrow spot at a tough angle. Anything bigger than our small trailer would have trouble getting level. Campground was quiet. Restrooms were older but seemed clean. We didn’t use showers. Great location

We have stayed at Anderson Road many times. We tent camp and always stay in site 11. You can pitch the tent up at the fire pit and picnic table or go further down the wooded trail closer to the lake. This time we pitched the tent closer to the lake. The site was much cleaner than it has been in previous years, which was nice. As we explored the woods around, there was still an unfortunate amount of garbage washed up by the lake and that unscrupulous people have left on the rocks by the lake. I came prepared with gloves and a trash bag to clean up before we settled in to enjoy our time. It's pretty quiet and has the feel of being away from civilization which we enjoy. The kids love going to the lake beach nearby during the days.

We were the first campers on opening day. Really enjoyed our lake site and caught many fish the first week. Just relaxed around the campsite the second week.

One problem that was very unsightly is the way the COE used bush hog machine to trim large tree limbs by turning it sideways cutting the limbs. Left many beautiful trees with unsightly long jagged limbs. The COE also poured a raised concrete pad at the dumping station which was previously even with the disposal hole. The 3-4 inch raised concrete pad caused problems for people emptying their black tank causing raw sewage spillage one day which meant a stinky mess to be cleaned up and the station unusable for a few days.
I recommend the COE return and make the concrete pad slant to meet the ground and make the concrete pad the width of a standard black tank. It would be much more efficient and easier to access.

Great place to camp as home base to visit Nashville. Fisherman’s/boater’s paradise. Possibly the most private campsites I have ever experienced. Shower facilities and laundry could be updated and expanded.
