Amazing that this is only 2 hours from Nashville. Luxury combined with adventure you can't find anywhere else. Will be back multiple times this year. World class climbing and hiking. Booked again for spring break. Much better than going to the panhandle every year like the rest of Tennessee.

We knew The Canyon at Pond Creek was gonna be awesome given its views and location - yet it was more than that - it totally blew us away!! It's peaceful, it's fun, it's awe-inspiring, it's relaxing, it's invigorating. The ability to be so remote, so comfortable and so fulfilled was wonderful. We've traveled lots of places in this world and it instantly became high on the list of places to return.

The location/setting was sooooo spectacular! We were lucky enough to catch the fall colors which was beautiful. So much to take in, and so much raw nature waiting to be explored. My husband and I really enjoyed hiking and exploring the various waterfalls along the creek. You really feel like you are out in the untouched wilderness (until you return to the dome)! We followed a trail down to where the rock climbers take to ascend the cliffs, and just marveled at the 100+ foot cliff holding the domes and infrastructure in the middle of woods!

The dome itself was so well equipped - the kitchen had everything we needed and more, and the bed was dreamy, the shower/water pressure was great! The weather turned cool and rainy when we visited which led us to turn on the heater which made the place comfy like at home. When the sun returned outside, we learned how warm the geodesic dome heat up naturally, and appreciated having drapes for temperature control. Drapes in a dome!? Yes. Oh and the towels - fluffy and luxurious. We appreciated the pristine condition of the hot tub (not normally hot tub people) and the plentiful wood for the firepit. Both are situated so we could continue looking at the view into the night.

Basically, the McBrides have thought of everything when it comes to glamping! So comfortable and easy - so much so you don't want to leave. We highly recommend coming to experience the marvel in the mountains that Matt has created for us to enjoy.

My stay at The Canyon at Pond River was absolutely unforgettable. Calling it “incredible” and “amazing” feels like an understatement!

The domes feel like luxurious treehouses perched high above a stunning canyon. They’re thoughtfully spaced for privacy, so you can fully soak in the beauty and tranquility of your surroundings. My dome was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, with a full kitchen (stocked with everything I needed), a full bathroom with plenty of towels, cozy beds and bedding, and refreshing air conditioning—perfect after a hike to one of the many waterfalls or natural pools nearby.

The hiking was an adventure in itself—stone steps leading down to winding canyon trails, peaceful walks along the base, and more steps leading to breathtaking waterfalls and refreshing pools. Each view was somehow even more beautiful than the last.

Talking with the owner, Matt, was such a treat. He shared how the property was developed and highlighted the local businesses and artisans who helped bring it to life. I also learned that this canyon is a favorite destination for rock climbers, including seasoned pros, which makes it even more special.

I was lucky enough to run into Matt and his family while hiking and got to watch him rock climb all the way to the top of the canyon wall—an incredible sight! Two of my photos even captured the climb (look closely for the green shirt—he’s 30–40 feet high in one photo and near the top in the other).

Matt and his team were kind and responsive (though I didn't need anything while there), and I so appreciated the sense of serenity that comes from being tucked away in the trees.

And the sunsets -- WOW! Sipping a glass of prosecco on my deck as the canyon glowed in the evening light was the perfect ending to each day. I can’t recommend this property highly enough, and I can’t wait to return! THANK YOU!!

My wife and I, our daughter and two grandkids so enjoyed our stay in the dome. It was such a unique experience we will never forget. The dome is so cozy and comfortable and the setting is stunning. We enjoyed the hot tub and made s’mores in the fire pit. And Matt met us there when we arrived to show us around and made us feel at home. We will definitely be coming back!
