The sweet lady that rides around in the golf cart checking on campers is the sweetest attendant we have ever came across. She was a cherry on top for experience!

This is a very nice campground located on a river so if you are a boater, it's fantastic. Very pretty views, easy access to water. if you are a tent camper, they have very nice platforms for you. it's an older facility but has been well taken care of. Showers were hot, and easy access. We enjoyed our time there.

Beautiful campground and well maintained. We stayed at 81 and enjoyed its proximity to the garbage/bath house, isolation from other sites , and we could walk right to shore to fish and swim. Staff were always kind and accommodating. If you stay in the campground you have use of a camper only boat ramp that is much easier to load in and out than the day use.

Great like almost all COE parks are, of this site BEWARE - the site drive is up a sharp hill after you navigate a tight curve with blocks blocking your view backing up. I would rate myself as a 4 on the backing a trailer scorecard, it was the most challenging yet.
Site is 30' long most would not be able to part their tow vehicle on the site. We could by backing the trailer over the back threshold by 10'.

We love Floating Mill. Been coming for years!! It’s my favorite place to camp. The boat is at Hurricane Marina so it’s so convenient. Definitely recommend

From I-40, take exit 273. Merge onto US-56 south and continue for 3.5 miles to Floating Mill Road. After about a mile, turn right to stay on Floating Mill Road, and follow signs into the campground.
Floating Mill Park is accessible via I-40, with the nearest exit being 273. From there, travelers can merge onto US-56 south for approximately 3.5 miles to reach Floating Mill Road.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Site types & loops
- Sites 60-77 and 81-98 are designated for tents only and require steps for access.
Site capacity
- Each site permits two tents on pads and one wheeled camping unit.
Pets
- Pets are not allowed in the day-use area, beach area, or restrooms.
Safety & rules
- Alcohol is not allowed on the premises.
- Campers must clean up trash and extinguish fires before leaving; failure to do so may result in citations.
Local regulations
- Church services occur every Sunday at 9 a.m. from Memorial Day weekend until the end of the season.
Fires & fuel
- Only heat-treated firewood is allowed; non-certified types are prohibited.
Fees & deposits
- Only credit card payments are accepted.
Vehicles & parking
- Camping equipment must remain on designated sites; parking in non-designated areas can lead to citations or towing.
- Only licensed vehicles are allowed; two are included per campsite with a $3 fee for additional vehicles.
