Very family friendly environment!!! Camp host & local police man, and his wonderful wife who all volunteer.. All went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful family trip. We are local, but enjoy a close getaway for a recharge.

Great staff and felt secure during the stay. Sites are close but folks were nice. Super packed and really cool atmosphere at night with moon light , fire pits. Very steep stairs to get to tent pads but worth it to be by waters edge. Site 89 Floating Mill.

The lake is beautiful, the campground clean and well maintained. Camp spaces are clearly labeled. We were in camp space 14 which was really crowding with several spaces very very close. Neighbors behind had a camp fire and we were smoked out pretty good. I probably would not do a campfire in those spaces. We did really enjoy the swimming and the scenery.

The weather was nice for the most part. We did go to Granville,TN for one of our days while we were there. That's a neat place to get away for a few hours. We were really disappointed that we missed the church service. The web site said it was at 9:00 so we got there about 10 minutes early, waited 30 minutes and no one showed up
We drove to the gate to see if they had been cancelled and there was no information at all about the church service which in the past there had been. Later when we ask the camp manager what happened with the service and he said it was at 10. I'm disappointed that on the web site says 9 when they're actually at 10. Hope someone's gets the word on this and gets that corrected.
