The pictures are misleading and if someone where to have a disability (which I do have)they may have difficulty getting to a site that you have no direct paved access to. Thankfully they were able to change my reservation to one I could access better.
If it had been a busier time I may have lost my reservation due to my disability and the ability to reach a site.

Love our time at Ragland Bottom, BUT it was just TO HOT this trip. The camp Host and Assistant camp host are Wonderful people. I wish that they would put steps or pave from the playground down to the lake spots. I have got poison oak waling in the grass up to the steps.

Campground has so much potential. Unfortunately the staff seems to only be interested in cleaning the bath houses and does not own a mower or string trimmer. The grass around our campsite as well as the bath house was taller than my crew socks. This leads to problems with insects. I could understand if the weather had been unfavorable lately, however it had been dry for days. There was many newly sprouted poison ivy plants throughout the campground and on the playground. I feared for my child rubbing against them and removed many from the playground myself. Finally, although I appreciate the dumpsters being hidden from view by a huge fence, not having one anywhere near the dump station means a 5 minute walk down (and back up) the hill if you dont know this prior to departure. All of these issues would be super easy to fix if someone cared to do so.

Had a great camping experience, even though they did not have sewer hook up we still had a wonderful time! We took our boat and was able to pull the boat to shore for easy access. There was no crazy yahoo’s in the campgrounds, which is very satisfying we will definitely be going back.

It’s a great campground. We tent camp on the upper level so only thing we wish is that some of those sites had more leveled places to put a tent and that the upper bathrooms were open so we do not have to go as far to the restrooms. It would also be nice if there was a beach area cleaned out for campers other than the day use area.
