We have camped at Ragland Bottom several times in the full hook-up sites. We like the convenience these sites have to offer. The lower sites are along the water with beautiful views. There are two boat launch areas, one in the RV park and the other across the street. The one across the street has a swim area. Located between Smithville and Sparta off Rt. 70 let's us drive to either town for groceries and restaurants.

We love or camp hosts and the maintenance crew! Everyone does a great job! The Army Corps of Engineers have neglected repair work that has needed to be done at the campsites along the water for years. It’s dangerous trying to get to the water area.

Our favorite campground ever!! A man knocked on our camper door at 1:30 pm (you don’t have to leave the site until 2:30) saying he had the camp site reserved for that night. He then went to the office and told them and the awesome manager came and told us to take our time and have a safe trip home. He’s literally the sweetest dude. So thankful for this campground that is somewhat close to home!!

Exquisitely beautiful lakefront camping site, shower and restroom facilities were nice, and the laundry access was fantastic. The trail off the campground was a bit overgrown but provided a nice destination overlook that was also a bit overgrown. Lots of poison ivy and oak along the way as well. Although our stay overlapped with a holiday weekend, it never felt crowded. We definitely want to return.
