Loved this campground! I was a bit worried prior to showing up because I had seen some reviews say campsite #15 required a bit of a hike, but it really wasn't bad at all. It was close enough to the car to be able to get everything you needed, and far enough back in the woods to feel secluded. The site itself was pretty spacious and I felt very safe and comfortable. I would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our experience at Dennis Cove. We did notice that the bathrooms were not cleaned in the three days that we stayed there and the light in the women's bathroom shut off after only 30 seconds after dark. Setting the timer for a little longer would help facilitate not getting stuck in the dark!

Dennis Cove is one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have had the pleasure of staying at! The privacy between the sites is natural and a lot of shade can be enjoyed during the summer months. The camp host Dale is an awesome person and a very knowledgeable man with great history and experience here. The seclusion and beautiful creek are a great way of spending time away from the hustle of life. It was nice to be unplugged from the world and be at one with nature. There is a lot of flora and fauna to be explored and enjoyed by all. The peace and quiet was the best part! The campers staying there have always been nice people, from locals to cross country travelers. A beautiful place to unwind and call home while staying for a weekend or up to 2 weeks, you will be blessed by this beautiful place! Happy Camping!

Dennis Cove Campground was outstanding. Dale, the camp host, was welcoming and provided great information about the area. We were about to hike to two outstanding waterfalls from the campground. It was a bit remote which made it more peaceful. The only downside, there was a strong overnight storm that somehow managed to knock out the water in the morning. Definitely enjoyed our stay and wouldn't mind coming back to check out more of this neat area.

The campsites are spotlessly maintained. The camphost was helpful and friendly.
The bathrooms were clean and stocked appropriately.

Ive camped here for 46 years and watched this place consistently go down hill. More so now than ever. The camp ground isn't kept up very well by the grounds keeper but he's quick to call you out for not having your dog leashed, the one time she wasn't. I remember camping here for free back in the 80s and 90s. There was no camp host and the campground was well kept up by us campers mostly. I will always come back to my Dad's favorite place and where his soul lies in the peace n harmony of the mountains he loved. Just wish they'd take better care of it.

Somewhat older campground but small and cozy enough. Be prepared for the narrow winding mountain road to get to the campground.
