What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

It is a very nice park. The only issues I had was in the summer the flying bugs was absolutely out of control. They need to do some bug control. Also this fall they were infested with Sand burrs, grass burrs what ever you want to call them. They are very painful to people and pets. These burrs are a weed and can be killed of and controlled with special spray.

We love this campground. Quiet and peaceful. Fabulous staff and the grounds and facilities are well maintained. Site are mostly level and even though the lake was very low during our stay, it’s still a lovely and peaceful view from the lakefront sites.

Nice campground for smaller RVs and a dumping station that is impossible to access as you leave because of sharp right turn required by moderate to large vehicles. Need s repaving on left side so a right hand turn can be safely made into the dump station .

Friendly, efficient check-in, spacious sites. But get your dog booties ready! There were so many sticker burrs everywhere that it was a ten minute ordeal to de-burr the dogs' paws, faces, etc. after every walk. Our dogs have longer hair so it was especially bad. The park was pleasant and had some nice trails that we were not able to take advantage of--but next time, we will come with boots for the dogs!

The previous page did not allow me to select any stars. I would give our experience 5 Stars.
The campsites were clean and free of weeds, trash and insects. The amenities were in good working order and the staff at the gate were very friendly.
