We had a fantastic experience at Outpost-X. It was below freezing at night, and the spaces were generously heated, including our tent. Our friends stayed in Cave 1, which was beautiful, had a kitchenette and full bathroom that we could shower in. I wouldn’t want to stay in the Viking tent without access to a cave.

If you think of this as camping (cooking, cleaning, taking care of yourself) you’ll be happy here. We didn’t do any of the add-ons so I can’t speak to them. The cars were a blast. This place is really in the middle of nowhere so plan to entertain yourself (I wish I had brought a deck of cards!). “Rai” was absolutely wonderful as host— that magic glitter mood-setter.

We went hiking at the Vortex, which was great. Afterwards we went to Bold and Delaney winery. The owners were so nice and I was impressed with what they were able to do with mostly estate grapes. I also recommend Veyo pies! If you are coming from the South you can swing in on your way to Outpost-X.

Happy glamping!

We visited Outpost X at a magical time. The first night it was cold and clear and stars were everywhere. The next night it snowed and everything was covered in a beautiful white blanket.

I came here for the sand cruisers, and they were AWESOME.

The setting is remote and beautiful. We were in one of the caves, which had plenty of room and was kept warm by the space heaters.

Since there is no on-site restaurant, and you have to go a ways to get food, we opted for the food package. The food is in the fridge in vacuum-sealed packages: fish, meat, veggies, and a vegan main as well. There's a little kitchen where you can cook it up.

We wandered the property and played board games and took a break from technology.

We arrived at 5PM the first day and spent two nights. This was the perfect amount of time; that gave us a whole day to check out the sand cruisers etc.

This is not a luxury hotel--this is a cool and comfortable place to feel like you're away from everything and in an amazing sci-fi setting.

I'm also glad we had rented an SUV (coming from Vegas) since the roads had snow and mud.

We came out for my birthday and valentines day for a 2 night stay in a viking tent. Even when it was 23 degrees outside the tent was able to stay nice and warm. Bathroom and showers were nice!

Greg the host was great and made sure everyone felt welcome to the property and helped with anything needed.

The sand cruisers are great to go roam the property and feel like Luke on tatooine

Just keep in mind that this is a create your own experience type stay!
I kept a couple speakers at my tent playing star wars ambiance and felt like I was on another planet.

I will definitely be going back to stay in a cave or even one of the stargazing domes.

Thanks again to Greg, Robert, Dan, and all the other great staff for making it all work!

We had a lovely time staying here. It's quite far from the city but if you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place for you.

Pros: out of this world experience, awesome views and staff available 24/7. Great for photos. We enjoyed the Kaan Lounge where we get to paint and unwind. The sand cruisers were also the highlight of our stay.

Cons: We had issues with the dome lock and heater but the heater issue was fixed right away. We didn't bother with the lock since it's not a major issue for our comfort. Hopefully, they'll clean up the Keurig machine in the Cantina. The water tank had no cover and it's starting to grow algae at the bottom.

Otherwise, we had an amazing time. Will definitely recommend to those who enjoys glamping.
