What Guests Are Saying
Moon Lake Campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, spacious sites, and friendly staff, making it a great spot for outdoor activities and relaxation. However, it has faced ongoing issues with its water supply, resulting in no running water and reliance on porta potties, which some found to be poorly maintained. Visitors recommend checking for events at nearby facilities to avoid noise disturbances and suggest that improvements are needed for the campground to reach its full potential.

Beautiful spot. Planned to stay a week. Had to leave after two nights because of the 24 hours of constant generator noise. Unbearable at best. We won't be back.

Nice campground, Beautiful lake. There are a lot of generators running constantly throughout the day and in the night too. Very busy campground. Took a walk along the beach and into the mountains.

Been camping here all my life. And has become too commercial. Too many sites. High rates. But still a beautiful location.

This is my favorite place on earth! I love everything about Moonlake except the upgrades they did. I can't believe they tore down the old bathroom. They replaced a beautiful rock building with a plain generic building. Paving the campground made it look awful. The new bridge they put in looks awful. Please go back to the rustic look the lake had. The dirt roads were great for a campground. They also took out the hookups around the campground to hook up to get water and only have one now. so, if we run out of water, we have to hook up the trailer, go fill water and then get the trailer leveled again. Please add more spouts! Sounds like a lot of complaints.... but i love this lake and the mountains surrounding it.

One of the most beautiful places to visit and enjoy all the activities from fishing, hiking, boating, and just sitting around the camp fire

Our trip to moon lake was very good. Our camp ground was not marked which made it alittle difficult to find and when I did find it, someone else's name was posted. It took a while to find the camp host but when I did everything was good. Beautiful area, great wild life (deer and moose). Fish did not bite. Lots of ground squirrels (dont leave your food on the table, it will be eaten or gotten into. Bathrooms were very clean. People were considerate and quit. Great place. I will go back again. My family loved it.

It’s worth the drive. Plenty of good hiking, fishing, and other activities.
We stopped by the little store at the adjacent moon lake resort daily for ice and treats. They helped me with an issue with my propane tank. Super helpful and friendly!
