2 years without water available and no reduction in price, not sure if it will be fixed this summer.

Great place but still no water or proper toilets, porta potties. I think it has been 4 years and they still can't figure out how to have water in an area surrounded by water.

I have been camping at Moon Lake every year since I was a little girl. I have always loved and looked forward to being there. So, it’s hard for me to say anything negative about one of my favorite places. But ever since the flood that happened after the fire, there have been a lot of promises and comments about how they are working on fixing the water situation, and the trail around the lake. Yet nothing, or at least it looks like nothing is being done to fix it. It would be nice if they actually fulfilled the promise to restore the campground. It’s so sad to see the way it is now.

Great campground. I've been coming here for nearly 30 years and have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, this year's trip was very different.
We brought a group of young men to camp. While I understand that teenage boys can sometimes be energetic and rowdy, our group was blamed for incidents involving people walking through the campground at 2:00 a.m. and doorbell-ditching nearby campsites. I can understand why the camp host may have suspected our group, but the campground was full of youth, and it felt like the blame was placed on us without any real investigation or conversation.
What made the situation especially frustrating was the way it was handled. Rather than speaking with us directly, a passive-aggressive note was left, forcing us to track down the camp host to discuss the issue. Had anyone simply come and talked with us, it would have become clear very quickly that our boys were not involved.
The experience ended up putting a significant damper on the entire campout. There were upset and worried boys, hurt feelings, and a loss of trust between our group, the camp host, and some neighboring campers. We even considered leaving early.
I know being a camp host is not an easy job, and I can appreciate how frustrating it would be to be awakened at 2:00 a.m. However, accusations should never be made without first gathering facts and having a conversation. A simple discussion could have prevented a lot of unnecessary stress and disappointment.
We'll continue to remember the many great years we've had at this campground, but this experience was handled poorly and significantly impacted what should have been a positive trip for some first-time campers. Disappointed... Ugh...

Advanced notice about no water might have been helpful for some campers
