Upper Stillwater Campground is located below its namesake reservoir in the Rock Creek Drainage on the southern slope of the beautiful Uinta Mountains. Visitors enjoy fishing and exploring the popular Rock Creek Trail.

Really enjoy our new campground hosts from Yellowpine CG. They were very supportive and personable. Love USW! Concerned if we have to pay double the fee for next year however!

We stayed for 3 days. We kayaked at upper stillwater and fished for 3 days. We were the only people most of the time. It was quiet, beautiful and very relaxing.

Upper Stillwater is a fabulous campground with paved and clean campsites. I was bothered this time regarding lack of water to the campground due to a water line break. What I'm concerned about is if it will be fixed when I return in two weeks.
I'm even more concerned with the proposal of having of the fees double. I understand how inflation has caused expenses to grow but, double the fee?

Love this campground, but the water stopped working on the second day of our stay. Camp host said the issue was due to the spring not refilling fast enough. Water came on after a few hours, but then it ran out again for the rest of our three night stay. Portable toilets were brought in the next night.
Hoping the issue has been fixed.

Been stay at this camp ground yearly for almost 20 years. Always very clean and quiet. Bathrooms always clean. Close to fishing and hiking. All around great place to stay.

Getting There
From Duchesne, Utah: Take Highway 87 approximately 20 mi north to Mountain Home. Turn left at the Rock Creek Store and travel 18 mi to the campground.
Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
