Excellent campground! Very wooded and serene, cool temps even during hotter parts of the year. We had several deer roaming around the site also which we all loved. I really like the easily found firewood also, no need to bring your own.

We'll be back. We felt like we had a private location and the nearby hike was sweet.

We were here 41 years ago when my husband proposed. Hopefully we'll be back before another 41 years passes.

Solid campground with beautiful nature sounds and many deer! Stayed for 3 nights over 4th of July weekend. The gravel road towards the grounds was easily traversed.
We reserved Site 1 which is the first one on the "loop". Site 1 is a slightly uphill site furthermost from all the other sites. We backed in up the hill to make unloading a bit easier and leaving easier. There is a creek in this canyon but it is not audible from Site 1.
The John is a trek from Site 1, about 3 minutes by foot. That doesn't seem like a long walk, but urgent poopers may need to add a bucket to their packing list.
Mill Fork trail was stunning with tall trees and chirping birds. However, equestrians and dogs are allowed on the trail making a lot of flies congregate at droppings pretty frequently along the trail.

The campground was so beautiful and it was so fun sleeping there and getting up early to do the Deseret Peak hike and then coming back and relaxing at the campsite. The bathroom is a pit but it was well maintained and not smelly!! We wished we would have brought our climbing gear - it looked there were tons of great climbs in the area.

Very nice campground, although it is not well maintained. The negative was that we had 3 campsites reserved, but the Forest Service failed to place "reserved" signs on them, so other campers had moved into 2 of the 3 by the time we arrived at 5:30 pm. We had to negotiate with them and evict them.
