Loop Campground offers a serene and beautiful environment with well-maintained sites, ample firewood, and a cool climate, making it an ideal escape from summer heat. Many visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the abundance of wildlife, including deer. However, some issues were noted, such as rough access roads and reservation mix-ups, but overall experiences were positive, with many campers expressing a desire to return.

It's really an interesting drive into this campground, the road goes through two narrow slot canyons. There's a year round creek. The sign says danger of flash flooding. The weather was warm and breezy. No amenities other than two sets of pit toilets. You definitely have to pack out your trash, and bring in all the water you need. Lots of tall trees, very shady. Tall steep hills all around the camp. Good for rock climbing. No cell signal from about 5 mi down the road. Slow bumpy dusty rough gravel road. I would not bring a big trailer or motorhome, you will probably will have trouble swinging it around the two hairpin switchbacks in the road. Some of the sites have driveways long enough for a trailer. We stayed in site #1. It is for sure the most remote site, and we felt very private back there. It has a long, long, long driveway that is more like its own access road. Once you get up to the site, there is a decent amount of parking, enough for two cars easily. You could put a smaller size trailer up there, but you can't turnaround. We had a small 16' trailer and chose to back up the driveway/access road. I'm pretty good at backing up the trailer but the driveway is very narrow and curves. I'm not a hiker, but lots of people come up there for day use because there is a trail head and a popular hike that goes to a nice lake. I had my two labs, they are good about just hanging out in camp. Down in the main camping area the sites are all right next to each other, so if I had been down there it would have been necessary to keep the dogs on a rope, otherwise they would have wandered into other campsites. Our site had a large picnic table and a fire-ring. Plenty of fallen wood to gather, no need to bring any.

Some sites are only tent sites, so if you have a vehicle make sure you have a site that will accommodate it. Good private sites, easy to get to trailhead.

The campground is great. I booked campsite 9 in order to be on the outer part of the loop, and near the creek, which was dry in mid August this year. But the numbers are slightly off. We ended up occupying campsite 8 as site 9 was actually on the interior of the loop and 8 was available. The camp host came by a couple times each day and said it was ok. Minus the people blaring music all night up near the trailhead, our stay was amazing. We'll come back in the spring hopefully when the creek is running.

There are people in razors and side by side s screaming bad comments, also at night some people start to call other people's off and they where not ben loude just having normal conversation, also my kids walked to the water strim and the person's camping close to it come out and started to shout them out from the river arguing they rented the river and the kids were not even close to their camp site

Quiet and spacious campsites. The road was pretty rough getting there, but I think that keeps most campers away. Some sites were pretty level, but this is for tent and car camping. I don't think an RV would be comfortable. And this is definitely a dry campground, so bring your own water supply. A plus is that it is high above SLC, so it is a great place to get out of the summer heat and coool off.

Only one good flat spot for a tent for most sites and the upkeep on the campground is minimal.

The Campsite was nice, pretty well maintained. The only complaint would be that camp host did not mark our campsite as reserved, so someone took our spot and we had to find a new site to use. Camp host isn't on site so they weren't available to handle the dispute. But aside from that I'll probably be back!

We spent a great 3 nights in sites 4,5 and 6. Great area covered with trees and close for the little ones to the bathroom. Camp attendant was very sweet and suggested other sites for our large family group. Both site 4 and 6 were able to have 2 tents and while roads were slightly steep the kids and old members of the party were able to walk without to many issues on the roads around us.

The sites were really well maintained, the bathrooms were clean, and there was ample tree fall to pick firewood from.
