What Guests Are Saying

Greens Lake Campground offers a beautiful location in Ashley National Forest with easy access to kayaking and nearby attractions like Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Visitors appreciated the spacious, well-maintained campsites and friendly lodge staff, although many noted the road conditions and water quality as significant concerns. Overall, it's a nice spot for outdoor recreation, but improvements are needed for a better experience.

Campground was quiet and clean. Can NOT fish at the lakes without paying another fee. Nice trail to store and visitor center.

This is a beautiful little campground with great access to the canyon rim trail and Greens Lake. The facilities are simple, but clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend renting a canoe from Red Canyon Lodge and spending sometime relaxing and enjoying the small but pretty lake. The trails are easy but give access to spectacular views. I also recommend paying a visit to the nearby Visitor Center, which has a very friendly volunteer staff, and gives you a jaw-dropping view of the canyon.

Site map still not correct, site 8 is probably the one you want if you are reading this. Site 9 is inside the loop, site 8 is next to the water.

We enjoyed the location and the activities in the area. There is a trail that follows along the Red canyon Rim which we enjoyed. At the Red Canyon visitor center we were told of a scenic/geological drive west of the campground which we enjoyed.

Campsite and overall experience was great! Bathroom door needs some fixing, but everything else made for a great trip.

Quiet! Limited shade in our campsite, so morning sun drove us out of tent early. Set up portable canopy over table...otherwise cooking and dining would have been VERY hot. Close proximity to (private?) lake for kayaking, although better spots to put-in would be nice. Beautiful area that is just down the road from Gorge. Toilets and water convenient. Some deer roam through. Night sky fantastic - with so much light pollution "at home" we forget the Milky Way, shooting stars, and the constellations are so bright and beautiful! Tented here two nights, then moved across lake to Red Canyon Lodge (cabins) for a couple more nights with friends - it is also another great choice (although rather pricey). Toilets not the cleanest...tough to find a "smooth" tent spot (how about some elevated tent spots with pea gravel?)... limited shade... but - we were there to camp, right? If you are looking for convenience and everything perfect, go to a hotel. :)
