What Guests Are Saying

Barker Recreation Area is a well-kept and beautiful campground, praised for its peaceful atmosphere, friendly hosts, and scenic surroundings with deer and hiking trails. While some visitors experienced noise issues and had difficulty with information access, the cleanliness of the facilities and the overall experience were highly appreciated. Mosquitoes were noted as a concern, so visitors should come prepared with bug spray.

The sites were pretty nice. Some had much more shade than others. The small reservoirs were also nice. Loved the cool air and the outhouse was decently well kept. However, the road in was absolutely atrocious. It is not meant for motorhomes, travel trailers, or any vehicle you don't want to drive on washboard for 22 miles. I won't be returning unless the road is in better condition.
