We have been going up to Lake Canyon recreation area in August for the past 23 years. Excellent fishing, camping and hiking.
Several lakes near by to fish or just play. Be cautious with the environment. Take out what you take in!

It was awesome this year. All they lakes were great however with this drought I am not sure how it will be next year. I always love it up there. So peaceful and a lot of fishing and ATV riding. Just wish there was places for horses.

The site was beautiful and very private. We had 10 people and 5 tents at our site and there was plenty of room. I wish there had been another picnic table there since it was a double site so you might want to bring an extra table. The vault toilet was very clean but a little bit of a walk so I recommend hoping into a vehicle of some sort to get there. The views were amazing and the water is very close for activities. I would totally come there again.

Great spot. First time outside of Fairview. Site 13 was wonderful, except for the dirt bike track that was for beginners right by our campsite. Luckily, there was only a few people on the track. Not sure if we would reserve this site again, but definetly this area is wonderful.

No single sites available so senior pass can be used for discounts. Recreation.gov allowed pass discounts but USFS disallowed discounts. USFS and recreation.gov need better coordination. USFS should convert some double sites into single sites.

I grew up here and it still maintains that “old timey” feel.

We love this place and always leave our campsite cleaner than we found it. I wish everyone would do the same!

I can't write in words the beauty it is to drive to these campsites. The area is kept after with integrity and that makes every site a special spot to camp. This campsite is a treasure for us all to share.
