Traveling in my RV. Arrived a day ahead of reservation and stayed a day after. Staff was very pleasant to work out extended stays. Campground is very quite and plenty of room for outdoor activities, especially close to fishing.

*CAUTION*
STAFF CALLED SHERIFF TO WRONGFULLY TRESPASS ME.

The Corporate Manager in Texas had to call and alleviate the situation to rescind trespass and allow my family to finish our stay. He has since refunded me for part of my stay as I had requested due to the damages caused to us and I am happy with the result. I am simply leaving this review to warn others about the local staffs behavior.

My wife and I were planning to stay for 3 days as passport America members. This park is decent but very highly priced for what it is. We are full time rv’rs and we’ve been to dozens of parks. Unfortunately we had an issue with our axles breaking just before getting here. We initially had a very good experience with the staff as they were helpful in extending our stay as we had to wait for parts in order to fix the rig and get down the road. The GM was able to get most of our stay minus 4 days at the PA price. We ended up staying 11 days in total. Day 6 things got chaotic.

Long story short the GM and the female staff along with one male maintenance worker attempted to trespass me over making a comment that the park needed male leadership after an altercation about my fire pit “having too many leaves in it”

The GM screamed at me multiple
Times and then falsely claimed she owned the park at which point I asked for corporates number to report her. She then began cussing at me and her subordinates not only ridiculed me but attempted to gas light me about the fire policy and that I had brought the irrational decision making by them on myself by questioning their actions. The maintenance guy, who really doesn’t maintain the park very well, even lied and said my fire was going at 6 am when fires weren’t allowed. This was proven to be false by my neighbor who witnessed the entire event and told me she smokes cigarettes at 6 and 6:30 every morning and there was no fire going at my Lot either time.

The false trespass and eviction was not due to policy violation but instead my comment about male leadership being needed there. I am allowed to have my opinion in America as that is a protected right. I also must point out that I believe my statement was proven true as the male corporate manager alleviated the situation because it was getting very out of hand.

The staff tried to throw my wife and our 2 year old out to the streets knowing our situation over hurt feelings.

The worst part about this is I checked the policy and it says nothing about leaves or wood only in the fire pit. The whole thing started with a policy violation that was not a violation and escalated to something beyond ridiculous over my opinion which was vindicated. I’ve attached a photo of the fire pit from the morning we left 5 days later. No leaves had blown out which was her concern and everything was still as it was during the ordeal.

The staff was incredibly disrespectful to us during this, the cops were aggressive with me based on the call they received and we were not treated like park guests after the fact. In fact they left one of our packages on the porch of the office instead of bringing it inside like they do for every other guest.

On top of this I must mention they only allow check in from 3-5 pm. However the front desk worker leaves before 4 every day and simply leaves envelopes with park info on the outside cork board. The office is supposed to be open until 5. The staff also does very little to help guests. They do not maintain cleanliness of sites, all were covered in leaves and sticks and almost every fire pit was full Of leaves.

Again I have alleviated my personal grievances with a partial refund, handled by corporate. But even he told me it’d be best if I never returned there. So it is what it is. The staff is disingenuous and dishonest. Childish and unprofessional. I can verify they will
Lie to your face and make false claims against you to the police.

We would have left immediately but we needed to wait for parts to conduct the repair.
Very unfortunate situation. Campers beware.

Beautiful quiet camping. Showers were very clean but could use seating in each stall and more hooks for hanging clothes for us older folks. We left earlier than we booked due to medical reasons, and we could not receive a refund per the cancellation policy.
