Flying U Country Store & RV Park

Flying U was a pleasure to make a stop at. Everyone that was working this afternoon was so welcoming and kind. The bathroom was very clean and maintained. As a tourist it’s so wonderful to be welcomed warmly. Will definitely come back again! We got gas, some Tylenol, drinks and snacks. They had warm food but we didn’t get to try it as we had already eaten.

I love this store. I’ve been in this store many times over the past 25+ years. The newly remodeled store is amazing. I love the hamburgers! BLTs were amazing also. Then don’t forget about the yummy ice cream! It’s a wonderful store. Go and eat some yummy, freshly prepared, as you wait, food! So you know it’s good. Plus they are super friendly.

People are always asking me where to find a good burger near Richfield.

I've ridden past the Flying U Country Store in Joseph dozens of times, and people kept telling me to stop.

Today, I finally did. 🏍️

And honestly? I should have stopped sooner.

This place is proof that some of Utah's best food is hiding in plain sight.

We hit a deer in our rental RV just down the road from Flying U. We parked out back and could not drive it further. It took several hours for us to get a tow. In the meantime, we spent so much time in this lovely little store with the kindest and most understanding people. They were so accommodating with us and our two young girls. The food was delicious, there was tasty ice cream, kids games, and there were even secret little ducks hidden around the store that they made a game out of finding and rehiding :)

The whole store and bathrooms were super clean, and by the end of the day the store staff felt like family, cheering us on to be “rescued”. They gave recommendations for tow companies and repair shops, offered rides, and Rich (behind the counter who made the best burger!) even offered to call his wife and daughter to bring us anything we needed. They made our rough day actually enjoyable.

It’s far from most everything, but it’s worth driving a few miles off the highway to find this gem.

We had really delicious burger here. The staff were so kind and helpful. We are so glad to have stopped by here on our way to Colorado. Highly recommended!
