What Guests Are Saying
Ledgefork is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and attentive camp hosts, making it a favorite camping destination for many. However, there are concerns about inadequate parking, unclear check-in/check-out times, and potential safety hazards at some sites, including poor asphalt conditions. Overall, visitors appreciate the peaceful environment and cleanliness, but urge for improvements in safety and amenities.

Great camping spot close to Smith & Morehouse. Was definitely busy so we were glad we stayed in one of the loops. Right now you need to get to the reservoir early-ish if you want a parking spot and a spot in one of the less rocky areas. Would definitely come again.

The camp hosts are the best! They keep in clean, are friendly, and they leave you to your privacy. Perfect balance between friendly and not interfering. Top notch. Did 3 separate visits.

Our campground hostess, Dorothy T., was fabulous. We were in Loop A, on a very quiet weekend which was perfect for us. I prefer dispersed camping, but with only 13 campsites occupied out of 33, it was peaceful and lovely. Bathrooms were clean and Dorothy made sure all campers complied with the "do not disturb" other camper rules which included keeping generator noise to a minimum. Smith and Moorehouse Lake is just down the road and easily accessible. I used my paddleboard on two of the four days we were at Ledgefork. We saw a lot of wildlife, including beavers hard at work. I think this was because of the low occupancy rate and not a lot of human noise. We loved the hiking right from the campground. Plan on returning next year, same time to have hopefully the peace and quiet we found on this trip.
