The overall campground has a beautiful view of the lake. Pull through #59 could use some maintenence with the asphalt pad that is broke up creating a drop off making it difficult to park our travel trailer. It was a steep decline making it difficult to not only set up our steps, also making it a challenge climbing up and down the stairs But Luckily some previous camper left a 4x4 block of wood that we used to help extend stairs off the drop off. BTW you may encounter free range cattle roaming the campground. That didn't bother us.

This is a great spot for lake access and views. There are a lot of downed trees, however. We could not find great spots for our hammocks - there was maybe 1 suitable spot. The angle of the parking pad was easy for backing our camper into. The ground is mildly slanted almost everywhere, it was a bit harder to find level ground for our kitchen, but it worked. I'd use this site again! We love Trial Lake.

Camp host was very nice and helpful. She really cared about making sure the fires got out, which is really important. The lake was beautiful with very few bugs. The bathrooms were very nice and taken care of. The campground was shady and pleasant.

My site was rated for a 24’ RV. I have a 20’ van and it just fit. The pad was on a weird angle, both down and sideways. I had to park partially on the side and it was still off. I gave up. My buddy had a tent so I used his pad as it was level. Didn’t even use the site.

Beautiful campground. Regrettably, there was no potable water in the campground. It would have been helpful for Recreation.gov to advise visitors in advance that the water system throughout the campground was not operational. I would give the campground a higher rating if water were available or if Recreation.gov would have notified me in advance.
