What Guests Are Saying
Trial Lake Campground offers a beautiful and tranquil setting with spacious sites, great views, and a variety of wildlife, making it an ideal spot for families and nature enthusiasts. The campground is well-maintained, with friendly camp hosts who go out of their way to assist visitors. However, the lack of running water and some tight parking situations for larger trailers were noted as drawbacks. Overall, it's a popular choice for a relaxing outdoor experience.

camp site host was very pleasant and helpful. I love the campground. however the tent pads ground was loose and would not hold the tent pegs. had to put boulders inside corners of tent. very large tents will not fit on pad. other than that it was worth it staying.

Great location and beautiful lake. The flowers were also in bloom, which just added to the splendor. The reception was iffy though and there was no water filling station in the camp.

We haven't been camping at Trial Lake in 3 years. We used to go every year but became fed up with camp rules being disregarded and the camp host doing nothing to stop it. Our last stay 3 years ago had 35 people in one camping spot next to us and 5 or six cars parked. This year it seemed to be much better until about the 3rd day when a family moved into one of the spots and parked their extra car in the woods near their site. My wife and I were very unhappy. We had with us our 3 daughters, their husbands and all the grandchildren in 3 other sites near ours. The car in the woods was in between our site and our daughters sites. Shannon and Minay without our asking stopped and spoke with them to have them move their car. They had to ask them a second time before they moved it but we were and are grateful. My wife spoke to Shannon and Minay and thanked them. We are so thankful when camp hosts do their job well. It makes our camping experience much better. We had a great time.

We were surprised at how quickly the weather changed. We were there for the July 4th weekend and it hailed. We also had rain, wind, and sun, but never really warm enough to go into the water. The camp host told us it was "hatch week" -- the one time in summer when all the bugs hatch. Just lots of little bugs flying everywhere. Now we know to avoid the first week in July. The bathrooms were clean, but it appeared they hadn't been emptied in a while. The camp hosts were super friendly, but also really enforced the rules, which we appreciated. I'm happy to pay for an extra car if it also means that generators won't run after 10pm and people won't park in my spot. We had a site right on the water and I loved it. The lake was at full capacity when we were there.

It’s a Beautiful lake! Has everything you need fishing, kayaking, hiking, we had a nice big camping spot where the kids could roam and explore. Definitely going there again!
