Trial Lake Campground

Regarding spots 23 & 24: it’s disgraceful to try and call this two separate spots. These are the only “two” spots in the whole campground that share a driveway, with a hastily spray painted line to try to cram two vehicles into. One side is in the bushes, and the other is hanging off a crumbling/deteriorating drop off that I wouldn’t want to have to get towed out of. The two fire pits and tables are so close you make eye contact at pretty much every angle. Trial is beautiful, just not these “two” sites.

My family and I have been going to the Uinta's for the last 6 years for our yearly family reunion camping trip. We have stayed in many campgrounds, but this one, has been our least favorite. We just spent 5 days at Trial Campground and were pretty disappointed with the blonde camp host, she was what would be called a “Karen” with a major power trip. We had a few encounters with her as well as our neighboring camp friends where she came barreling down the road in her golf cart YELLING at the guests for   not following rules, humiliating them in front of family friends and other campers. She also drove around the campground  patrolling like she was a police officer telling people you can't do this you can't do that. We don’t have a problem following the rules and really appreciate when the rules are followed by other campers but, the camp hosts approach(yelling) is uncalled for and very unprofessional. There were more things to worry about like keeping the restrooms clean (filthy the whole time and dumpster full for days). Besides that the campground was okay and close to the lake but no running water. The lake was beautiful with decent fishing. Washington lake had really good fishing and so did all the other surrounding lakes. Lost Creek campground has been my favorite so far, campsites are large, well spread out and actually have running water, unlike a lot of the other camp sites.

Beautiful Pine trees and a gorgeous high mountain lake. Cool nights and comfortable days. A little piece of Heaven.

I adored this campground! The hosts were amazing. The only problem, there was a big fight between some campers next to us at 4am. That can't helped though. I will definitely be back!
