Bowery Creek offers a friendly and accommodating atmosphere, with hosts who are consistently praised for their helpfulness and cleanliness. Beautiful views! The campsite we chose did not look like the photos. The biggest issue was the bathrooms are not very close to many of the campgrounds. I was nervous that animal may be in there because the doors opened with the wind. Would go back but a different campsite maybe?

Bowery is beautiful and has good amenities, but it is very rocky. If you're camping in a tent, bring a pad to place your sleeping bag on. At night the sky is brilliantly lit by stars that glisten off the nearby lake (well within eyesight). Despite the close proximity to the lake, however, we weren't bothered by insects or other pests.

Campers next to me ran a cheap generator from 6am to 10pm, for 3 days strait! There should be a noise limit or ban gas generators in mixed campgrounds. The host was good and the bathrooms were clean.

This has portable water access near every site, no need to fill prior to arrival. No garbage dump location (need to move off site, but dumpster is only about 100 yards past area). Actual bathrooms stalls and sinks with running water thought-out the camp site. No actual hook ups of any kind at sites. pets are allowed.
