Lucerne Campground offers a beautiful setting with spacious, well-kept sites and convenient access to the lake and marina, making it a great spot for boating and fishing. Many guests appreciated the clean facilities, friendly staff, and enjoyable atmosphere, with positive experiences shared about the showers and overall cleanliness. However, frustrations arose regarding inconsistent bathroom upkeep, reservation issues, and some maintenance challenges, such as unkempt grounds and lack of essential supplies like soap and toilet paper.

Beautiful campsite, great views, only complaint is you had to pay to dump.

Our stay in Lucerne was great--level pads and reliable electricity. It would be nice if more tables could get the wood covers over them. Restrooms were good, even though somebody trashed one late one night. People should be respectful and appreciate the amenities we get. It would also be nice if campers who pay for their sites could get free dump station usage, as we used to get. Overall, we enjoyed our stay (10 days) and plan on staying there again. We and our families have been camping there for over 50 years during fishing and hunting seasons.

Could you please put soap dispsensers in the bathrooms? The bathrooms are always kept very clean but there is never any hand soap. The campground is enjoyable. We have stayed there several times a year for many years now.

This makes five or six years in a row. We have gone to the Lucerne campground to spend a week at Memorial Day. We enjoy the time that we spend there and the beauty of that area. As for the campground. Since we stay about eight days, it would be nice if we didn’t have to break to dump our tanks. To help with that I have tried to use the restroom and shower on site. This is the second year in a row that the bathrooms in the D Loop and we have not looked at the others, but I suspect they are the same have been filled with spiders. Not just regular spiders either. Last year in the men’s room alone there were seven black widow spiders full grown, and plainly visible in the corners of the roof. This year was a little better in that there were only five black widow spiders in the men’s room. Needless to say, after seeing that, I never went in those rooms again with the exception of I was curious whether they had ever done anything about it because the entire week we saw people going into those restrooms only to see absolutely nothing get done to spray poison or clean the black widows out of those bathrooms. In this day and age it would only take literally 30 seconds to take care of that problem. Again, we appreciate the site and will return, but those facilities seriously need a manager to follow up on the staff and give them the proper supplies to take care of those kind of issues before somebody gets hurt. Thank you very much.

We very much enjoy the Lucerne campground and continue to go there year after year for a week or 10 days after memorial day. It generally starts our summer camping season. Campground is older, but still a nice experience and is only marked by Black widow spiders infesting the men’s room in particular.

Beautiful setting and a wonderful place to stay. We will look forward to going back again next year and hope the black widows living in the men’s room will be gone since they have been there the last two years.

The group site is great for large groups, they are somewhat away from the individual camp sites so the smaller children can play without disturbing other campers. Nice pavilion for meal times with a large fire pit for gatherings.

Beautiful views from nearby all campsites makes up for lack of privacy. Abundant wildlife— pronghorn, prairie dogs, osprey and other birds.
