We appreciated the shade, nice picnic table and fire ring, and well-kept portapotties. We noticed that even in late July there were basically no mosquitoes, which was surprising for a spot near water. And the location was great for us since we wanted to be close to town.
The campsites are very close together. Campsite 7 and adjacent campsites were boggy in some areas.
It looks like there's been some storm damage to the willows, so there's a lot of fallen logs and debris. We did not have to gather firewood, since there was enough on-site. Just bring a saw or an axe.

Overall I like this campsite a lot for groups. But I feel really frustrated that the bench by the fire pit still hasn’t been repaired. A bench broke sometime in the past two years, and they still haven’t repaired it. They left the metal supports and they have lots of sharp corners. If you’re camping with small kids, it feels very dangerous. There are tree roots everywhere and small kids in our group kept tripping. We kept camping chairs near the metal posts to protect the kids.

There’s also a bench on one of the big tables that was broken last year and still remains broken.

We also had a family of raccoons come by every night so keep your food locked up safely. They were able to open someone’s plastic tote.

Nice place that could’ve been nicer with a bit more attention from the campground hosts.

The campground is close to town but tucked away enough for it to feel remote. Lovely grounds. The bathrooms were closed, and I wish the website had let us know that before hand. Quiet hours are supposed to be from 10pm-6am but other campers were very loud in the night and kept us up/kept waking us up until after 1am. We were with children on a Thursday night and found it frustrating that quiet hours were not respected or enforced, even though we were right near the camp host and I'm sure (s)he heard them as well.

Number 10 was open and right by the creek. Grandkids loved having right by camp. Port-a-Potty were clean and very close. Most folks were considerate and kept reasonable hours

This group site has a large grassy group area for games and activities. It's ALSO very close to restrooms. The only downfall is SHADE!
There are a couple of spots in the trees with shade next to the restrooms.
The large grassy area is an oven during the day. If you have canopies, bring them!
Outside of that, it was just fine. If you're looking for a bunch of shade, consider another group site.
Camp host rode around her golf cart, and made sure 4wheelers weren't buzzing around the campground. Bathrooms stayed clean throughout our stay!
