What Guests Are Saying

Devils Garden Campground offers a stunning setting with beautiful views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a highlight for many visitors. The campground is well-maintained, providing easy access to nearby trails and great opportunities for stargazing. However, some campers noted the extreme heat in summer and the lack of shade, which can be challenging, especially during peak temperatures.

Wonderful campground, friendly host very clean. If you’re one of the lucky few they get to stay there you certainly won’t be disappointed one of the nicest campground you’ll ever stay in.

what an amazing campground. Site #46 was tucked in the rocks and felt very private. Probably my favorite campsite ever! The outhouse close to the site was clean. Hike right from the campground to a trail - perfect. Very quiet and clean.

This campground had several good sites for tent camping and we loved our location. It was so nice to be close to several of the arches that we could easily hike out to as well! We did get surprised by some strong gusty winds our first night, but fortunately the tent held. (Important to stake your tent and rain fly!)

very cool campground amongst the rocks. site 28 with lots of space, we fit 3 tents on the site easily. Quiet, dark campground at night. Short walk to devils garden hikes, with broken arch and tapestry arch a short hike from campground itself

Devil’s Garden campground is a terrific place to stay. It is beautiful, with great views from all over the campground. Clean bathrooms and nice camp hosts.

But the real advantage is there are great hikes right from the campground with the Devil’s Garden hikes the highlight. and if you go early or late they are almost empty. Seeing the different colors at sunset was very special.

It is difficult to make reservations but definitely worth it if you are able to land one.

A great campground in a stunning setting. My only criticism is a lack of soap in shared bathrooms - in an austere, desert climate there should be proper soap for washing hands and facility hygiene. There are a few alcohol sanitiser dispensers but this is not sufficient for a permanent bathroom facility.

The only negative thing we could say is no phone service. We learned later it you get a spot on top of the hill you will get one bar. I wish the national parks could do something. Next time we will have StarLink. Also due to being at the back of the park it takes a while to get out and into town. Other than that it was perfect. The Host “college professor from Tennessee” was super friendly!

Great, scenic campground! Views from all sides and angles. Our campsite had a huge boulder in the middle of it and we setup tents on each side. Bathroom was 60 second walk away. Drinkable water too. Can get windy so make sure to tie some stuff down. A canopy was helpful to get some shade.

Recommended hikes: Fiery Furnace (need a permit $10), Windows Trail, Broken Arch loop and definitely the Devils Garden Loop that you can just walk to from the campground. Bring water, sunscreen, a hat and some snacks. Start you hikes early to avoid the peak sun hours.

Site 48 was a great spot and conveniently close to vault toilets. However, two factors made it less desirable. 1) Flies. So many flies, it was awful. 2) Proximity to group camp site. The group site was occupied by a very noisy group of middle schoolers that woke up early and would climb the rocks by my camp, effectively walking through my camp to reach it. They were loud in the evenings after sundown as well. It totally took away the peaceful remote feeling of camping in a NP. Also the site is fairly small and hard to find a level plot, but the tree shade was welcomed and rare.
