We had an excellent spot off the plateau, near the water’s edge. Secluded enough and quiet.
Vault toilets have some arachnids living in them, not a problem, just something you might want to be aware of.

Made reservation for trailer campsite in winter during Thanksgiving break just after a winter snow storm for travel to canyonlands and arches.
Not very many people out initially but filled up when the weather improved. Clean neat blm land, loved the fact that I could reserve it! Loved that it was pretty well known (even park rangers in capital reef were familiar with the location). We had booked for 3 nights, left one night early to jump start the return back to california so we could make our reservation time for antelope canyon slot canyon tour at 3pm. Stayed in the middle bw Moab and page. Glad we did, too!
No dump or potable water but maverik gas stations (there’s one in Moab on south Main Street) have it available for free. We chose to not dump there but collected potable water to fill our fresh water tank twice and dumped when we arrived at the next destination that had fill hook up which was en route to page.
Dirt roads to get in and out of campground but fairly decent for trailer ride there. We were at campsite 22 - very visible from entrance to reserved spots. But separate and well distanced from everyone else.

Road in wasn’t too bad to the reservation sites, short section of dirt road. Sites were level enough for travel trailers, we had a little more difficulty with our 32’ class A. Would definitely stay here again as it’s close to Moab and very quiet. (November 2024)

From Moab, drive south on Highway 191 until you see signs for Ken's Lake, approximately 8 miles. Turn left off the highway and follow signs to the lake. The campground is just beyond the turn to the lake. Loop A is in the first campground loop and B is the second loop.
Ken's Lake Campground is accessible via Highway 191, which is approximately 8 miles from Moab.
