Site 34 is the best site in the whole campground. My travel trailer (30ft trailer, 20ft truck) fit perfectly into site. We were a short walk to the lake, which was awesome for cooling off during the heat of the day. This campground was a free for all. There were listed rules for campers and none of them were followed. For example, dogs were to be on leashes. There were lots of dogs off leash and one afternoon there was a verbal argument between a person with their dog on leash and a dog off leash. There was dog poop everywhere. There was trash everywhere, dumpsters over flowing, and bikes on hiking trails, even though it was posted no bikes. Generators were to be turned off at 8pm, and this did not happen most nights. There was even a campsite running multiple generators well into the night. There was no camp host and I never witnessed the bathroom getting cleaned. There was usually loud music coming from the lake late into the evening. The biggest issue was a flash flood event and the two campsites next to us had to evacuate. As far as I know, no one ever came to check on those people or help them to find another site or to check out the damage to the road and campsites. All reservations were handled through rec.gov, but there was very little cell signal to contact anyone for assistance. The flooding occurred after the BLM office was closed. This was an amazing location, 10 miles south of Moab, with a lake, but my experience was spoiled by other people not following the posted rules and the fact there was no oversight from a camp host or daily BLM patrol. If this happened I never witnessed it.

Fantastic campground with panoramic views! Spacious sites, clean bathrooms. We loved the lake for swimming. The hike to the waterfall was also fun. Easy to book and great communication with the host. Short drive to Arches and Canyonlands. 10/10, I've already recommended it to people!

From Moab, drive south on Highway 191 until you see signs for Ken's Lake, approximately 8 miles. Turn left off the highway and follow signs to the lake. The campground is just beyond the turn to the lake. Loop A is in the first campground loop and B is the second loop.
