Ken’s Lake is reasonably convenient to all of the nearby National Parks (Arches, Island in the Sky, and Needles), as well as to the La Sal loop.
We had privacy, quiet, and great darkness to see the night sky. Several nice trails lead up the hillside. There was no running water, but this was compensated by a 5 minute walk to Faux Falls, an invigorating mountain stream.

Nice location outside of town off the highway. Quiet with great sunsets and dark skies. Pit toilets are about what would be expected. Exposed sites with very few trees or shade. Wind can get very gusty and dusty at night. Would not stay again in summer but would likely be great in other seasons.

Nature always gets 5 stars from me, however, the campsite we were at, 40B was constantly getting car headlights right at us which was well after 10pm, thus ruining our star watching experience. The stars were spectacular, but the headlights were so annoying, especially because they often have their high beams on and it lit up our entire site and these vehicles were pretty far away, yet still bright. I would recommend don't get sites along the road TO the campground AND post signage about other campers and please dim your headlights!
ALSO, WE THINK STATE FORESTRY OFFICIALS SHOULD KEEP FIRES PROHIBITED PERMENENTLY NOW, NOT WORTH THE FALLOUT OF MAJOR FIRES! STOP CHANGING THE FIRE LAWS, AS LONG AS WE REMAIN IN A DROUGHT STATE---UTAH, CALIFORNIA, OREGON, NEVADA, ARIZONA, ALL IN HARMS WAY. DO SOMETHING TO SAVE OUR FORESTS, SAVE OUR WATER, STOP CARELESS FIRES!

Great spot! Would recommend the B sites as there are some with trees and there is a river that runs on the backside of some of the sites. It was calming as you could hear it from the site. Also the faux falls were a short walk as well. Only negative is no showers as there is no running water. Definitely going back!
