Very busy, even early in the year. Very crude outhouses.

The views were amazing and the restrooms were extremely clean and well-stocked. Will definitely stay here if we’re in Moab again.

Love being so close to great trails, slick rock, hells revenge, and porcupine rim.

Great site but be prepared for steep inclines and sharp corners coming and going from campgrounds.

Went in early March so was still cold enough to not be crowded. Sand Flats are a great location to venture out to the rest of Moab.

Sand Flats has some of the best access to amazing off road trails and spectacular scenery! December is still a wonderful time of year, just be prepared for the cold. Maintenance crews are busy making repairs and improvements to keep this camping area in great condition.

The views at sand flats are spectacular! Caution - if you’re staying in a tent, there will be many generators, razors, oversized jeep, etc engines running. You’re right next to a popular off roading spot.

The staff at Sand Flats were/are outstanding. There was an issue with an un-authorized camper in our reserved spot that that was handled to everyone's satisfaction in short order. The Sand Flats people came by several times to make sure that all was well. We couldn't be happier.
That being said, the reservation system SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS!

Fun location. Liked the access to so many great places and adventures. Obviously better Spring/Fall.
