Warner Lake

What can I say? This place stole the show for me. A beautiful drive up into the La Sal mountains that any 2WD regular car can do with no issues. The initial pull into the campground there is a dear just off the road a few feet and not bothered by us at all. As we start setting up our tents here he comes about 10ft away in the grass just grazing and watching us for probably 10 minutes. Campsites themselves are very nice, newer picnic tables and nice fire pits. The views..surrounded by aspens in the fall mostly all yellow. Unreal. Such a vibe if you will. Warner Lake has a beautiful backdrop and it reflects amazingly on top of the water. Overall 10/10 worth it in every way.

I will be back here sooner than later for a multi-night stay.

The campsite was very well maintained and the directions on the website and in the confirmation email were perfect! It is close enough to Moab to plan for some exploring there, but far enough away to feel completely connected with nature. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area!

IF YOU STAY AT THE CABIN, CALL AHEAD AND ASK FOR THE PADLOCK COMBINATION!!!

Staying here was a disaster. We got to the cabin before 10pm after driving an hour up crazy winding dirt roads and were locked out of the cabin we paid for. There was a padlock on the door and a note that said to check my “receipt” for the combination.

I was never given the combination. I called the reservation phone number and they couldn’t find it either. I called the campgrounds. I called the Moab park ranger. No one picked up.

I eventually ended up calling the sheriff’s office and that was the only answer I got.

I was fortunate to have 1 bar of cell service. My friend had none.

Beautiful quiet spot, good fishing and nice cool off if you are there to get to the national parks.

Beautiful setting. Lake was stocked and we were able to catch a lot of fish. Some of the campsites are definitely better than others.

Cute rustic cabin with stove & basic kitchen equipment already there. Was surprised that the mattresses aren't vinyl, like most hostel/overnight camp cabins I have been to in the past. I don't have particularly high standards, but was frankly a little disconcerted by the large stains on the standard household mattresses that didn't even have proper encasements over them I feel like in the woods.....maybe vinyl is the way to go!

Really cool spot, clean cabin. Beautiful views and lots of activities right from the door step.
No water drinking or even washing. So get your own water.
Has stove and even a propane heater just in case.
Pls clean the place before you leave, no rangers do cleaning so if you don't clean the next person comes to a messy place.

After an amazing drive, of which were not anticipating, but thoroughly enjoyed, we found our beautiful campsite. Nestled in an aspen forest. Beautiful and quiet.
