What Guests Are Saying

Tinney Flat offers a beautiful camping experience with plenty of trees and a creek for enjoyment, making it a hidden gem. The campground host received high praise for being friendly and maintaining cleanliness, although there are issues with overgrown trails, lack of water, and damaged picnic tables. While the campground has seen better days, many visitors express a desire to return, especially if improvements are made.

No hosts there, others stayed and did not have to pay. No one was there due to the fire. And the closed road up Santaquin Canyon. I could NOT take my Trailer. None of water was on, out houses were open, flushing toilets closed. Could only use a tent. Would like another use of campground this next year same time. Not having to pay, due to 2019 payment. Thank you

It was a disaster. There was no camp host. The bathrooms were locked. The water was shut off. No firewood. Not what I expected since I’d paid money to stay there. The only plus side was the fact that no one else would stay so it was quiet.

I've been to Tinney Flats before and enjoyed it a lot because it is shady, which is why I tried to go back. My sister was in town from Florida with her kids and another niece from Florida who has never been camping before. I rented this place and loaded gear for 11 of us in two cars. However, the road was closed the last couple miles right before the campground and no one informed us via email. It was due previous bad weather that had ruined the road. The sign said you could go allll the way around another way which I've driven before and know it is 1.5+ hours which we couldn't do cause we had a 2 year old plus 9 kids total. I contacted recreation.gov three times and explained this and they wound't refund any money. My local area wouldn't refund it either. SO if you go here, be sure to somehow check for road closures or you'll have a bunch of disappointed kids and will spend 2 days packing for nothing and be out $60.

Tinney Flat is a hidden gem! Santaquin Canyon is a narrow, winding road, so it may not be the best option for large trailers. The campground host was friendly and helpful, and both the campsites and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There's a river running through the campground that my kids loved playing in, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Beautiful campground, but still needs a lot of repairs. Many of our picnic tables were damaged, and there is still no water. We loved how helpful the camp-host Alexis was. We will come back to this campground in the future.

The camp host, Alexa, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and did an excellent job maintaining the campground. Our biggest frustration was the water situation here and at other campgrounds in the area. Paying the same amount, or even more than we have in the past, while not having access to running water is very disappointing. It significantly impacts the overall camping experience and makes it difficult to feel that the campground fees are justified.

Camp host was great! She kept the bathrooms clean. It would be nice to have the water working again.
