What Guests Are Saying

Tinney Flat offers a beautiful camping experience with plenty of trees and a creek for enjoyment, making it a hidden gem. The campground host received high praise for being friendly and maintaining cleanliness, although there are issues with overgrown trails, lack of water, and damaged picnic tables. While the campground has seen better days, many visitors express a desire to return, especially if improvements are made.

It was a good spot. Site 004 didn’t have a lot of thick tree coverage but there was good room. It was right next to some bathrooms and a water spigot but when we went it seemed that there was no water running at the whole campground.

The campsite was great and I would give it 5 stars but some guys with chainsaws showed up at 9 am and didn’t stop until we gave up and left several hours later. Campground itself was awesome. Chainsaws were not and were very loud and obnoxious. Ruined the quiet weekend we were planning on.

I would’ve given it five stars except the tables were in pretty rough condition. Otherwise very good place to camp.

Such a great campground! It is in need of some repairs. Hope some of the money gets put towards repairing or replacing the picnic tables.

Tinney Flat Santaquin Canyon is beautiful even in thunderstorms and down pouring rain! Having an amazing tent and easy ups over the tables kept us all dry! In between storms we hiked, fished, and sat around the campfire! The camp host and the father's and sons camp next to us were very kind and helpful!

We had an enjoyable time at Tinney Flat. First time back since the Santaquin canyon road reopened. The campground has changed a bit. There used to be a hiking trail on the south side of the campground but it is so overgrown that we couldn’t find it. There are a lot of large trees that are down and are cluttering up the campground. We had reservations for our stay but when we got there there was no reserved sign at our site, or any other site. There was no camp host in the campground and the weekend seemed to be a free-for-all. On one occasion a camper came into our site asking questions and thinking we were the camp hosts. Nice campground but poorly managed, not the same as it used to be.
