What Guests Are Saying
Granite Flat in American Fork Canyon is a beautiful campground, well-maintained with friendly camp hosts who provide helpful service. It offers a great location near Tibble Fork and Silver Lake, making it ideal for outdoor activities and family enjoyment. While weekends can be noisy due to nearby ATV trails, visiting during the week provides a more peaceful experience.

We enjoyed this campsite. We ended up at spot 22. It does have stairs to get to the tent spot/fire pit, so just be aware of that. However, I did end up preferring this area as it was just far enough away from the road that we didn't really notice the people driving by. Not that it's a busy road (it's the one way loop you take around Tree Army to get to the camp sites), but it was nice to be away from it.
The people who run the place were very nice. I met one of the ladies in charge the first day when I arrived and she was kind and helpful with information. The rate for an extra vehicle (my site was 1 vehicle only) is $10/day. There are some water spouts around, but they do not want you using them for cleaning/prepping food or dishes. The site locks down at 10pm and opens are 7am. I would definitely return again!

The camping area was amazing. I had camped here long ago before everything was paved. It was a good campground then. Now amazing. The only drawback was we went when it was really hot. It is cooler at the campground than in the valleys below but in a heatwave, it's hot here too. The evenings cooled down and we enjoyed them.

Great campsites. Most of them are pretty secluded and not too close together. Much cooler up there and the camp hosts were great. Thanks.

We loved our stay at Granite Flats. The site we were in was wonderful. We were surrounded by trees and could listen to the river below. Kind of a secluded site which was nice. The camp host, Larry and Michelle were very friendly, conscientious, and made our stay that much better. We would go here again and plan too in the future!
