We really liked our site. We had one large and one small tent and had plenty of room. Driveway, table, fire pit were all terrific. The bathrooms were pretty stinky, but that's pit toilets for you. We could not smell them from our site.
Biggest issue we had was a group of people rented the 3 sites right across from us and their children were literally screaming all day, running into the street, and causing all kinds of issues. All 3 sites were tent only sites, but 2 of them brought RV's. They put their dogs on leashes and left them in the campsite when they went away. The dogs barked constantly while they were gone. It made for a very unpleasant experience. The site next to us ran their generator until 11pm. I spoke with the camp host who was very aware of both situations. She said she would do rounds at 9pm and remind people that quiet hours begin at 10pm and that included generators. She did not do that. We ended up leaving a day early, because it was kind of a rainy day and we didn't want to put up with the noise. I'm not against dogs or kids. We had another neighbor that had kids and they were great. We saw lots of dogs that were with their owners and really well behaved. We just got stuck with selfish people who refused to obey any rules and be considerate of their neighbors and a camp host that wouldn't enforce those rules.
We were here in late July and Tibble Fork Reservoir was so low and so packed it was ridiculous. We drove up to Silver Lake Flat -- the drive was pretty tough and the next day after it rained, they closed the road. Silver Lake Flat was also extremely low, but not nearly as packed as Tibble Fork.

Hard to beat a campground so close to town, and with campsites secluded from one another.

Absolutely wonderful! We loved being in the beauty of the trees. It was quite and peaceful. There was some space in between campsites which allowed for some privacy and more quiet. We loved playing at Tibble Fork Reservoir. The only downside was the insane amount of mosquitos! Do NOT forget bug spray! And use it heavily! My toddler got 10 mosquito bites in the first 15 minutes we were there before putting on bug spray! Other than that, we absolutely loved our time at Granite Flat.

We stayed at #22. Beautiful setting for this campground. This spot was tight for our 33 footer (as anticipated) and had 15-20 steps UP to the picnic table/firering which made for a secluded spot but could be difficult for some. There was a nice short footpath to the baseball field that is not mowed/maintained so very disappointing and reason for 4 stars. We went in July and the mosquitoes were definitely out so bring bug spray. Our loop was flat but some of the other loops are not so not as convenient for scooters/bike riding. Overall, wonderful to be a short distance from SLC and feel like you are in another world.
