Watchman is a decent, functional campground. The space is limited in Zion, and I was fortunate to get a spot as my planning was only a few weeks out, and there was a cancellation. It's an easy walk to the visitor center, where the busses operate all day to move people through the park, since private vehicles aren't allowed beyond a certain point.
There are no showers or laundry facilities, but the restrooms are clean and well stocked, and there is a dump station. I was in a loop with no water or electric hookpus, but some are available.
Night skies are very dark, and I could see the Milky Way above Watchman peak in the late evening after moonset. Only drawback for me, was the temperature... I was there mid august, and it was over 100f every day we were there, and mid to high 80s at night, and generators are not allowed, so it was uncomforatble. Otherwise, for convenience its a decent well maintained campground. Saw a couple of mule deer sauntering through too... put your food away!

Had a fantastic time at Watchman Campground on loop B. There was a flash flood and the river got hight but never over the bank. The Ranger talk was also very interesting, learning about the stars that can be seen in Zion. Beautiful outlooks and walking distance to Springdale

Had a nice site in B loop, B4 and then had to switch to A10 which was large but the curb stopped the RV from backing into open space and we couldn’t fit the jeep we were towing. Otherwise nice area with bridge access to Springdale…walking distance for restaurants and shops. Lots of bathhouses, but we only used our RV. Looked nice! Loved the nearby Pa’rus trail for biking with our dog.

Fantastic campground and a perfect base for exploring Zion National Park. The location is hard to beat – right inside the park, close to the visitor center and shuttle stops, while Springdale is also within easy walking distance.
The scenery around the campground is beautiful, and we really enjoyed being able to leave our RV parked and explore Zion without having to drive anywhere. The facilities were perfectly fine, and everything worked well during our stay.
We felt very comfortable here and would definitely stay at Watchman Campground again. One of our favorite campgrounds of the trip!

The ranger at check in was very nice, helpful and upbeat. She earned the 2nd star on a poor campsite. It was warmer than we thought it would be but the trees are almost all dead and no other shade structures. I understand keeping low impact but the critters were clearly a problem with food boxes to protect against squirrels and the shrub vegetation was a little beyond natural and would have caused concern if fires were allowed. Not what I expected at all. We ended up getting a hotel instead. Sadly if the trees were all still alive and putting out shade it could be a nice campground.
