First, if you're headed to Zion, pack your patience because it is a busy park. I knew this but still wasn't entirely prepared for the volume of people in this small area. That said: this campground is in a great location. You are close to the visitor center which means you are also close to the shuttle pick up which gets you to almost everywhere in the park and into town without having to drive. If you can bring your bikes or e-bikes, this park is extremely friendly for that activity (just mind the rules about stopping for the shuttle buses, we had one shuttle driver who liked to preach the rules over the exterior speaker which was annoying). Definitely plan your gear appropriately for the weather and the activities you want to do.
The campsite itself was great - near the restrooms, had electric hook up and a nice long driveway. We did have a lot of beetles and ants at this site. Also, a feature of having hot days - the wind really picks up at night as the rocks cool down, so don't skip tying down your stuff or you may find it relocated in the morning.
We only stayed one night - I think we would have had a better experience overall if we'd stayed at least two nights and that was with a "quick" visit planned. Not having to deal with locating parking is a great benefit.

We loved staying at Watchman. Its a perfect location in the park and right at the visitors center for easy shuttle and amenities access. Our site was clean and just enough room for us. We do wish it had water but we made do with the available potable water nearby. Awesome experience!

Lovely campsite with beautiful views and a BIG shade tree, but we didn't sleep at all night 2 due to extremely loud group site neighbors who were partying until after midnight (quiet hours at 10pm.) We told the host and 3rd night they were quieter thank goodness. Also had other guests walking through our site to shortcut to the bathroom, so be aware of that possibility. Otherwise, convenient and close to visitor center, shuttles, bathroom, water, and creek!

Limited shade in the heat of summer but otherwise sites are spacious and facilities are nice… squirrels are a great annoyance though and will get into bags and food and even chew car wires!

Nice campground with a good view of The Watchman. Within walking distance to the Visitor Center and shuttle stop which was great. Bathrooms had running water, were clean, and in good condition.

We had a shaded spot and that made a big difference. Mid June temps were over 100* the days we were there. Beautiful views from the campground and all the ways up the canyon. We will be visiting again.

Hosts were great. All trees in campground could be trimmed. Be advised the ground is very hard and we were unable to stake out tent down at one site we used. I recommend renting e-bikes for the day to get around town and up and down the canyon.
