Watchman is a great base for visiting Zion. We had no issue maneuvering or parking our 35 ft 5th wheel. You can easily walk to the Park shuttle or cross the river to catch the Town shuttle.

Facilities older but clean and cared for. Staff all very nice. Great experience.
Showers available nearby in town.
Wish the signage by the garbage was clearer… there were two dumpsters and one was blue but it did not say recycling and people were throwing trash in it.
Sign by Dloop indicating the was sink hiding at back of building would also be helpful

Great option for families. Looked small when we pulled up (D001), but we fit a big 8-man tent and another 4-man plus a sunshade and everything was still far enough from the fire ring. The worst part is the gravel. I appreciate that it reduces dust and fire risk, but they chose pokey gravel rather than rounded river stone or something, so bring a thick tarp to protect your tents and heaven help you if you need to kneel down at any point! Hammering in stakes resulted in several ruined stakes, but since the wind can really kick up, it's necessary. Liked this spot because it was adjacent to the restroom and dumpsters without being so close there was excessive noise. Path to the restroom wasn't heavily used even though campground was full. One of the closest sites to the VC, which is great for weary kids at the end of the day. Priceless not having to worry about parking during our visit. Deer throughout camp, as well as squirrels/ground squirrels, a few birds, and several species of lizards. Appreciate that they've installed a wildlife-proof storage cabinet in the site. Shade for this site falls perfectly on the main spot for the tent, however it's not a ton of shade so we were grateful for a sunshade.

Loved our stay here! The sites were spacious and comfortable and easy walking distance to bathrooms. The views were out of this world, looking straight up at the cliffs, and the stars were so beautiful at night! The attendants were helpful and friendly, and the bathrooms were clean. Our only issue was wanting to spend more time there!

Excellent campground and the campsite was very nice. Staying in the park was very convenient since there was often a line to get into the park. My only complaint was that there wasn’t any shuttle stops at the campground and from our campsite it was a 3/4 mi walk to the visitor center where shuttles could be accessed. Otherwise, we really enjoyed staying at Watchman. Having electricity at our campsite was wonderful, and allowed us the freedom to not worry about being at our campsite during generator hours.
