About Zion Canyon Campground

THIS IS THE CLOSEST PRIVATE RV PARK TO ZION PARK!!  1/2 mi (2,624.7 ft)  from entrance to Zion National Park, our 12-acre piece of paradise has been owned and operated by the Ferber family since 1973, when the Zion Canyon Campground & RV Resort was founded by David Ferber. Our staff has explored the canyons and surrounding areas and can be quite helpful about where to go, what to wear and who to see for the outdoor adventure of a lifetime. Springdale courtesy shuttle to Zion stops in front of the RV park, or elect to take the 15-minute walk.  (For up-to-date Springdale and Zion shuttle info, navigate to www.nps.gov/Zion).

After a long day, come back to your site and freshen up for dinner with a choice of more than a dozen local eateries, from casual to upscale, accessible via a courtesy Springdale town shuttle with a stop adjacent to our park. After dinner, sit outside and watch the sunset under The Watchman and West Temple, truly breathtaking geological sights.

RV and tent campers enjoy showers, fire ring with grate, picnic tables and use of our swimming pool (pool closes Oct. 12). All RV sites include complete hook-ups including power (30amp, most 50amp), water and sewer (NO SEWER ON SOME RIVER SITES - check site descriptions).   Most all sites include charcoal grills.

We recently stayed there in a cabin. I cannot say enough about how CLEAN and well kept our cabin was. I genuinely felt like it must have been constructed just before our arrival. The location and views were also spectacular. We parked or car when we arrived and never had need for it again in the 4 days we were there. It was less than 1/2 mi to the zion park entrance. It was an easy walk but it was nice to have the option of riding the free Springdale shuttle as well. Great restaurants next door and across the street too. Service at the texmex next door was incredible - the did was too.

Finally, the staff at the campground was just phenomenal, particularly Nicole and also kathleen. They were happy, helpful, upbeat and genuinely friendly at check-in and every morning when we came in to get coffee, snacks, ice, etc.

I can't thank you enough for an experience that absolutely exceeded our expectations. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful location. Many types of spaces. Small but heated pool. Easy to get to bathrooms, showers, and trash areas. The shower areas need mirrors and more places to hang/set personal items while bathing. Our neighbors were noisy after quiet hours, and the after hours ranger was quick to respond.

Check-in was a bit of a mess. The woman at the counter was brusque and seemed more interested in reciting her script than answering our questions in a welcoming manner. She initially said we had no reservation (eventually finding it), told us RVs were not allowed in Zion (passive-aggressively asking "why would you want an RV in the park?" -- uhh, for transportation?) then contradicted herself by saying there *is RV parking within the park* but that "it fills up quickly with non-RVs." We finally asked whether she knew if the park was staffed normally during the federal government shutdown, to which she replied "I don't know. I work here."

After many hours of driving, the last thing I was looking for was a weird, combative check-in, but that is what we received. It was disappointing to not feel invited nor particularly welcomed when showing up at this stunning campground for which we paid several hundred dollars.

Grounds are clean, showers are great with hot water and great water pressure, no issues with RV hookups, and you just cannot beat the view! Walking distance to shops and restaurants, and the Springdale bus line stop is right outside the campground.

Campground had last-minute availability, surprisingly. I'm sure it was because it was past peak-season, but Oct/Nov is a beautiful time of year to visit Zions.

I was a little nervous about getting a spot in an RV park so close to the park entrance. What I found was an absolute delight! The access to the shuttle, restaurants were close by Within very close walking distance, the sites were nice and long and the staff was extremely friendly. I had an excellent time over my Thanksgiving weekend and can't wait to go again next year

If you plan to camp near Zion, this is your campground!!! The location is perfect as it is within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Springdale, as well as walking distance to the entrance of Zion. If you don't want to walk, the shuttle stop is right out front as well. The sites were spacious enough and offer stunning views from all angles, along with shade which is great if you're visiting during the summer season. The river runs along the campground with an access point open to all visitors. The camp store is big and will have just about anything you need. Highly recommend this campground!!!
