The campground was clean, as well as the restrooms, and very adequate for our needs. It worked well and everyone had a good time. The Ranger was very conscientious about making sure things were in order and clean. However, parking was a real problem. There was a group across from us with a huge trailer (not allowed) and another structure of some sort that completely consumed all of their parking. So, they took the liberty of using all of our parking. We were relegated to parking along the road (also not allowed), but the Ranger was very understanding and allowed it, since there was nowhere else to park.

Our experience at Cherry Group Campsite B, was a fun. We had our five children and nine grandchildren, with a total of 20 people. The campsite is nice with plenty of parking and shade. We had 3, ten man tents and 2, six man tents. We did enjoy the stream which is right over the fence, loved the sound at night. It has a nice fire pit with cement and benches. Also picnic tables. We went fishing at Maple Lake, up Payson Canyon. Very pretty little spot. There is also fishing at Bartholomew Ponds, but we didn't make it there.

Some downfalls:
The road right by it was quite loud at night until around midnight, then calmed down. The only other downfall was the smell that comes from the restroom every once in a while. We got hard rain, and made it through. The hard part was that there wasn't very flat spaces for the tents we had, our tents were really close to each other to get the flat spots.

Thanks so much!

We had a large group of about 250 people. The group sites worked very well for our needs, and the host was fantastic to work with. It was a great experience all around!

Not much cell phone service, a super plus!
Camp host was absolutely awesome.
Bill stopped by to check on our large group a few times. His offers for help and information about the area were genuine and greatly appreciated.

We held our Young Women’s Camp there at one of the group sites the beginning of June, we absolutely loved it! Very pretty camp sites! The camp host was Amazing! I’ve never had such a nice camp host at other locations, he was fantastic! Loved there was a trail to hike right off the camp. We did have a raccoon that would visit us every night so make sure to keep a clean site and lock your food up in your cars or totes. Great experience, would go back!

The camp hosts were delightful! Very friendly and welcoming. We love this campground because it is small and has lots of trees. The kids love to play in the stream.
