TENT CAMPERS, HEADS UP!
I would not recommend this place for tent camping. The facilities are decent, but not really worth camping.
1. Camp sites are extremely close to each other on the loudest gravel known to man. When people are walking to their car or whatever, all tent campers know it.
2. Tent sites are very close to the highway. Loud road noise.
3. Tent sites have ZERO shade. The least they could do for a "Resort" is throw a dang shade up for tent campers. But, they dont care about tent campers, otherwise this would have been addressed.
4. Horrible sewage smell. Once you leave the tent area and walk to the bathroom, right around the playground area, an absolutely fowl smell hits you. Pure sewage. Amazing!
5. Bathrooms- Showers have timers and every bathroom we saw, had a shower in it. This sounds like a good thing, but mostly every night, you're waiting on someone to get done with their showers to be able to use the bathroom. Also, 7 minute showers are the most ridiculous thing ever. As a BALD man, I felt rushed. If I had hair that needed washing, I'd be in trouble. Thats why I'd probably take 2 showers. 7 minutes for a shower, then 5 minutes waiting between showers, then another 7 minutes. So total, roughly 20 minutes. Imagine having an emergency and having to wait to use the bathroom for 20 minutes!
6. LIGHT!! There is a light, pretty much facing the tent sites. ITS BASICALLY A SPOT LIGHT! We called the office and they said its a security light, and nothing could be done about it. This thing was super bright and obnoxious! It lit up our entire tent the whole night. We thought it'd go off, but it didnt.
This might be a good spot for a night, if nothing else was available. But I'd highly recommend looking else where. How hard is it to add electricity, water, and some shade for tent campers. These 4 sites must be a requirement by state or something, because no amenities are probably ever going to be added for them.

We happen to land here on memorial Day. Part of me wants to give a bad review only so that there might be spots here if I'm ever in a pinch again. I booked this place only a couple of days out on a holiday weekend. Fantastic experience, All the spots are great, easy driving distance to the park. Will definitely stay again if we are ever out this way

The Zion River Resort was a great stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were very friendly and explained how to get around the park perfectly. The grounds are clean and well-maintained, and they have nice amenities like a playground, a swimming pool, and it is very dog-friendly. The campsite shop is also pretty well-stocked with food items, camping necessities and souvenirs. A big plus for us was arriving just in time for the Easter egg hunt we didn’t even know was happening. The kids absolutely loved that. It’s a well-run place and we had a great time here.

My family and I have stayed here three times in the past 18 months while visiting Zion. The RV sites are clean and fairly spacious, which is why we returned.
That said, this campground has a serious issue honoring reservations. On two of our three visits, we were moved from the exact site we reserved. The website states changes may happen for “emergency reasons,” but that was not the case during our most recent stay. We were moved simply to accommodate a group that wanted to be closer together.
We had confirmed our reservation, including our specific site, just 24 hours in advance. Despite that, we were relocated without any notice. That is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
Accommodating groups should not come at the expense of other guests, especially repeat customers who booked specific sites for a reason. Being reassigned to a less desirable spot twice has noticeably impacted our experience.
Until reservations are actually honored or communication improves, it is difficult to justify staying here again

We had a really comfortable stay at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground. The property is very, very well maintained and everything felt clean and organized.
The store was super convenient with good prices and great hours, which made things really easy for us. The pool was also really nice and a great place to relax after a long day.
Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay, and we would definitely come back again!
