The Grout Pond Campground facility will be under construction during the 2026 season. The Pond Loop Trail leading walk-in sites 1 - 11 will be under construction from May - October. Campsites 1 - 11 will be open on a first-come, first-served basis and will not be reservable on Recreation.gov. The trail will be upgraded to accessible standards, which will greatly improve the visitor experience. Parking in the lower lot near the pond will be very limited due to the construction staging area. Please use caution at the site, as equipment will be using the access road and Pond Loop trail to complete the improvements. Thank you for your patience as we improve the site for future use.

Grout Pond Campground is a beautiful and serene spot, featuring clean facilities and well-maintained trails, ideal for nature lovers and families. Campers appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, gorgeous scenery, and wildlife sightings, including nesting loons. However, some campers noted the lack of amenities, issues with flies, and challenges related to hike-in access to campsites.

We an incredible time camping this past week, however we reserved a spot online and learned we were not able to camp there due to reservations needing to be made 3 days in advance (THIS WAS NOT MADE CLEAR ON THE WEBSITE). Great place to camp, kayak, fish, and swim! Would recommend!

Great scenery, not much hiking nearby. Reserve a spot on the water for sure.

Amazing hidden gem of a campground. Could use a few more amenities, but it’s rustic nature is definitely part of the charm

The volunteer, Tom, kept the campsite very clean. We had a good campsite, and the pond was great.

We loved everything about our experience camping at Grout Pond. The site was immaculate, completely free of any litter from previous campers. The views are stunning. Well worth the kayak trip to get out there.
