We have stayed at this Americamps location twice in the past 7 months. The “Transient” spots are nice. You have a choice between concrete and gravel sites. There is ample view of the sky for those with Starlink. Each site has full hookup, fire ring, picnic table, etc. The facility is well maintained and cared for the the staff.
The personnel at the campground are friendly and very helpful. There are some nice amenities such as a dog run, pickleball court, basketball court, playground, laundry, and bath facilities along with propane sales. They also have weekly activities for Fri-Sun which range from food to entertainment.
The only drawback at times is the I-95 traffic. But it’s not too bad. Look there is easy on/off the interstate to the campground. So there are trade offs in anything. Just know that the facility is a solid value and if you need to stop north of Richmond, VA it is a good choice.

First time here. The staff at the front desk are pleasant.
Got to our site without problems. Sites are level and clean.
Walked around the park to see it. The outer row is what one would expect to see when folks are allowed to “gather stuff”. Unfortunate to see that: clutter and junk.
Speeding is a constant problem in any RV park, as it is here. But the kicker is seeing teenagers walk through our site. THAT is a No-No in any park. It’s called etiquette. Not one or two but at least six.
Bathrooms are clean but dated. No hand soap in the outer washrooms.
I would still come back. A good overnight stop on your way north or south. Fellow travelers make it worth while: it’s all about the stories.

Let me preface this by saying most of their employees are kind and friendly. I stayed here for almost 8 months and here’s what you need to know. First and foremost the campground is next to a wood processing plant. So plan to have your vehicle covered in debris and dust 24/7. The water pressure is garbage. Even during non-peak hours. The sites are very small. They assign large rigs tiny spots to the point where you can’t park your car on your site (I’ll admit I got lucky with my spot but the rest of the spots are tiny). In my opinion, the prices for month are expensive for what you get. During the snow storms that rolled thru, there was no attempt made to clear the snow. To the point that everyone was driving on 4-6 of ice for a few weeks. Tree limbs will fall on your camper. WiFi isn’t worth your time. Long timers were required to winterize the water spigot and if it busted would be responsible for paying for repairs. They offered a service for them to winterize for you but that was $80. Their emergency line is a joke so hopefully you don’t need it. The only saving grace was that they sorted mail out for you and there were a handful of employees that were friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for nearly seven months while we were working in Virginia. We were so pleased at the amenities and the activities offered. The staff was great and friendly. The location made it easy and convenient for shopping and getting around as it is located off I-95. We really loved our time here!
