Cross Rip Campground

We found this gem and stayed for a whole week with 0 complaints. Such a sweet little campground, with plenty of added bonuses. The owner is very nice, the campground is WELL taken care of and each of the staff members work their tales off. Showers and bathrooms are very clean, and the beach area is VERY nice and upkept. The atmosphere is top notch and there is plenty of space between camping spots. Plenty of things to keep the kiddos busy, and I didn’t mind feeding the turtles myself!

This place is truly a gem. It's a smaller more intimate Campground with tent sites, rv sites, and cabins right on the Chesapeake Bay! Beautiful views, nice facilities, and even complementary veggies from the garden. They even had crab traps, canoes, kayaks, and bikes we could use! It's also a very dog friendly Campground which is nice! Loved the time we spent here and looking forward to our next trip!

If you are seeking peace? This is it! Old school camping and million dollar views. I will say the only negative for us was… our site was in the water. The site next to us has been coming and staying summers for years. The lady has her camper parked sideways. So it was a bit awkward coming out in the mornings to have coffee and get some zen, when she was laying in her hammock almost into your site. These are back in sites not sideways or pull thrus. She was a nice lady. However we stayed here to talk to squirrels and herons. Not people. Just an FYI when booking one of the on the water sites. Other than that the five stars given are worthy. Owners were nice and stayed at a distance. Also be prepared to level up your camper. Sites are uneven.

We had a great stay. The views of the water are amazing! There is a nice swimming area that the kids were all seeming to enjoy. Fishing looked great and the pier was nice. We stayed in site 43 and had a great view of the water. The bath house was clean and nice hot showers. Firewood and ice was available 24/7 and the prices were very reasonable. The owner was very nice and available for any questions. Simple, quiet camping at its best! Will definitely be back soon!

I believe this is our fifth trip down? Starting to lose track. Another wonderful weekend slowing down and enjoying family. Campground is simply the best.
